POLLUTED LIGHT & BASEMENT LIGHT PRESENT
EDGAR ALLAN SHIT-POE-ST
March 15-24 @ The Tank NYC
WHO DARES KNOCK ON MY CHAMBER DOOR?
I chimed in with, "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the godd*mn door?"
NO! Actually, the Raven's friends cannot close the door when his love life is at stake! A forever-eligible bachelor married only to his writing, EDGAR ALLAN SH*T-POE-ST, or, ALL 19TH CENTURY POETS ARE F*CKBOYS! whisks the Raven on an epic journey through Poe's complete bibliography, the crushing highs and lows of early 2000s pop ballads, and an interrogation of separating the art from the artist. An epic adaptation and send up of the spooky kooky poet/bachelor/OG emo boy we love, EDGAR ALLAN SH*T-POE-ST bravely asks, "Can Mr. Brightside and Poe coexist in the theatre?" We'd like to prove they can!
In a new collaboration between BASEMENT LIGHT PRODUCTIONS and POLLUTED LIGHT THEATRE, titled LIGHTS OFF, Zach DePaolo and Riley Elton McCarthy have joined forces to present this bold, provocative new comedy.
